E-Waste stands for electronic waste. In simple words E-Waste means each and every electronic device which is no longer useful for us, we have discarded them. Every individual has E-waste, maybe an old mobile phone or a Refrigerator which means that it doesn’t matter if the waste is small or big.

So, we can imagine the amount of E-waste which is generated in our country, and worldwide, IT’S AN ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF WASTE. Don’t you think that this waste can be somehow useful, well HM Waste Management think so, and hence we are striving to make our INDIA E-waste free. You must be wondering how?  The answer is we are an e-waste recycling organization that works towards the sustainable disposal of e-waste to ensure a clean and healthy environment. Remember that Trash is not the right place for your e-waste. Electronics contains various toxic and hazardous chemicals and materials that are released into the environment if we do not dispose of them properly.

Effects of E-waste: The effects of E-waste on our environment are:

• E-waste accounts for 40 percent of the lead and 75 percent of the heavy metals found in the landfills.

Electronic devices are immensely filled with valuable materials like copper, iron, aluminium, tin, fossil fuels, silver and gold. Eventually many of these materials used in manufacturing these electronic devices can be recovered, recycled and reused. 

In a report, Apple revealed that it recovered 2,204 pounds of gold —worth $40 million—from recycled iPhones, Macs, and iPads in 2015. 

Still E-waste ends up in landfill, burned or illegally traded every year – or is not recycled at all.
